Punyashlok Ahilya Devi Holkar Mahila Startup Yojana 2024 has been launched by Maharashtra government to empower women entrepreneurs. This initiative would support and encourage women-led startups, particularly those initiated by school and college students through incubation centres. About Punyashlok Ahilya Devi Holkar Mahila Startup Yojana 2024

Maharashtra government has started Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Mahila Startup Yojana to boost women-led startups. Financial grant from Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 25 lakh would be provided to women entrepreneurs which in turn will generate employment for other women. By focusing on local needs and utilizing local raw materials, these startups will contribute to the development of self-reliance among women and enhance the startup ecosystem at both urban and rural levels.
This is an early stage support to women led startups in the state.

Here are the salient features of the women's startup scheme named after Ahilyabai Holkar:-
  • Through this scheme, govt. aspires to establish Maharashtra as the state with the highest number of women-led startups in India.
  • It aims to reduce unemployment by generating employment through women-led startups.
  • 25% of the scheme's total budget will be reserved for women from backward and economically disadvantaged classes.
  • Financial assistance ranging from Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 25 lakh will be provided to eligible early-stage startups based on their turnover.

Punyashlok Ahilya Devi Holkar Women's Startup Scheme Eligibility Criteria

In order to avail Mahila Startup Yojana benefits, applicants must fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria:-
  • Maharashtra Registered DPIIT approved startup.
  • At least 51% share of women founders.
  • The startup has been operating for atleast 1 year.
  • Annual turnover Rs. 10 lakh to upto Rs. 1 crore.
  • Promising, innovative and effective startups would be preferred.
  • Preference will be given to employment generating startups.
  • Should not have received financial benefit in the form of subsidy from any other scheme of the state government.

Punyashlok Ahilyabai Holkar Startup Yojana Application Process

The Maharashtra State Innovation Society (MSIS) will implement the women's startup scheme. Interested applicants can apply online for Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Startup Yojana at https://www.msins.in/ 

Filling of application is absolutely free of cost as there is no fees required to apply online for ahilyabai holkar mahila startup yojana. The evaluation committee, formed by the Commissioner of Skill Development, Employment, and Entrepreneurship Commissionerate, will review applications. Selected startups will present their projects, and those meeting the criteria will receive subsidies.

Documents Required for Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Mahila Startup Yojana

Here is the complete list of documents required to apply online for women's startup scheme:-
  • Company proposal,
  • Startup Registration certificates, and
  • Approval certificate from the Department of Industry and Internal Trade Promotion.
Priority will be given to innovative and effective startups, particularly those generating employment. 

Punyashlok Ahilya Devi Holkar Startup Yojana Implementation

A "Control and Review Committee," chaired by the Secretary of Skill Employment Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department, will periodically review and amend the scheme to ensure its effectiveness and relevance.

The startup ecosystem is being strengthened by organizing innovative activities like Maharashtra Startup Yatra, Student Innovation Challenge, and Startup Week through the Maharashtra State Innovation Society.
