Rajiv Yuva Utthan Yojana Eligibility Criteria (Age/ Education / Income)
- Residence - Applicant must be a permanent resident of Chhattisgarh state.
- Caste Category - Applicant must belong to either scheduled caste (SC) or scheduled tribe (ST) or other backward class (OBC - Non Creamy Layer) category.
- Age Criteria - The age of the applicant must lie between 20 years to 30 years (as on 1 August 2024).
- Educational Qualification - Applicant must have pursued graduation from a recognized university or college.
- Income Criteria - There is no specified income limit for SC, ST & OBC - Non Creamy Layer candidates. However, those belonging to OBC - Creamy layer category are not eligible.
- Exclusion Criteria - Those candidates who are already enrolled in any government service are NOT eligible.
Selected candidates will only get the scheme benefit once in their lifetime.

A new scheme namely Rajiv Yuva Utthan Yojana has been introduced to provide free UPSC coaching to SC, ST And OBC Students. As per the department's notification, a total of 185 candidates will be selected, comprising 50 per cent from Scheduled Tribes, 30 per cent from Scheduled Castes and 20 per cent from Other Backward Classes. Furthermore, 33 per cent of seats in each category are reserved for women.
