Renaming of YSR Vidyonnathi to NTR Vidyonnathi Scheme
Andhra Pradesh has reinstated the names of TDP founder-president N.T. Rama Rao and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar to the welfare schemes. The state govt. renamed six social welfare schemes, which were implemented before 2019 and continue to exist till date under different names, but with same provisions.Old Name | New Name |

NTR Vidyonnathi Scheme 2024-2025 Apply Online Process
- Firstly visit the official website https://jnanabhumi.ap.gov.in/
- On the homepage, click at the "NTR Vidyonnathi Application Form - Apply Now" link.
- Here click at the "Application Form" link to open NTR Vidyonnathi Scheme 2024 Online Application Form as displayed here.
- Fill the complete NTR Vidyonnathi Application Form and also upload the supporting Study Certificates and finally click at the "Submit" button to complete the application form filling process.
- Then applicant should appear for an online exam which will be held by the department.
- Selected students will be informed through SMS.
- The eligible student will be provided a link in which they have to enter UID, Date of Birth and mobile number and proceed forward to submit their preferences for the institutes.
- After taking admission in the institutes, students details are populated by Empaneled institute through "Institute Login" option. The institutes will then upload attendance data of the students on a monthly basis.
- Next deputy director will certified the attendance of the students.
- Finally, maintenance fee would be released to the student's account and tution fee would be released to the institute account.
NTR Vidyonnathi Scheme Eligibility Criteria
- Residency: The applicant must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh.
- Caste Category: Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Backward Class (BC), Kapu, Brahmin, Minority and Extremely Backward Classes (EBC) category students are eligible to apply for NTR Vidyonnathi Scheme. Even persons with disabilities (PWDs) can apply.
- Educational Qualification: Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from any Recognized Institution. Final Year candidates can also apply.
- Age Criteria: For Kapu, Brahmin, Minority and EBC candidates, the permissible age group is between 21 to 32 years. For Backward Classes, the candidates must belong to 21 to 35 years. SC / ST Candidates in the age group of 21 to 37 years are eligible. For Differently Abled Candidates (PWDs), uper age limit is 42 years.
Objectives of AP NTR Vidyonnathi Scheme
Promote Social Equity: Increase the representation of candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Classes (BC), minorities, Kapu, Brahmin, and other economically weaker sections in prestigious civil services and other competitive examinations.
Provide Quality Coaching: Offer high-quality coaching and training to eligible candidates by partnering with reputed coaching institutions across the country, thereby improving their chances of success in competitive exams.
Financial Support: Alleviate the financial burden on economically disadvantaged students by covering the entire cost of coaching, including tuition fees, study materials, and sometimes even providing a stipend for living expenses.
Enhance Opportunities: Create more opportunities for marginalized communities to enter government services, thereby promoting social mobility and reducing economic disparities.
Build Confidence and Skills: Equip students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and confidence to excel in competitive examinations and secure prestigious government positions.
Encourage Higher Education: Motivate students from underprivileged backgrounds to pursue higher education and aspire for top positions in the public sector.
