Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana has been announced by the hon'ble finance minister Ajit Pawar on 28 June 2024 (Friday) while delivering the Maharashtra Budget Speech 2024-2025. This ground-breaking initiative acknowledges the vital role that women play in the progress of society. It aims to raise and support them financially while also providing security.Under this Maharashtra Ladli Behna scheme, the state govt. will provide women with direct financial assistance of Rs. 1,500 per month. It would improve household welfare, reduce poverty and promote gender equality. Every female resident between the age of 21 to 65 years would be eligible for financial aid under Rs. 1500 scheme for women in Maharashtra.
