Maharashtra government has launched Ladka Bhau Yojana to provide internship opportunities to the unemployed youth of the state. Alternate names of Ladka Bhau Yojana are Maza Ladla Bhai Yojana, Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana and Majha Laadla Bhai Yojna. This scheme aims to enhance the employability and skillset of young individuals, preparing them for a competitive job market.

"Under this scheme, Rs. 6,000 will be given to those who passed Class 12, Rs. 8,000 for those with ITI and diploma, and Rs. 10,000 per month for those with a graduate degree," Shinde added.
Maharashtra Ladka Bhau Yojana Eligibility Criteria
- For Candidates:
- Should be in the age group of 18 to 35.
- Minimum Education Criteria: 12th Pass/ITI/Diploma/Graduation / Post Graduation.
- Should be the resident of Maharashtra.
- For Industries & Establishments:
- Should be working in Maharashtra.
- Should registered with Skills, Employment, Entrepreneurship & Innovation web-portal as an employer.
- Should have established for 3 years.
- Should registered with EPF, ESIC, GST, DPIT & Udyog Aadhar & have certificate of incorporation.

- Duration: Internships will be for 6 months.
- Stipend: Interns will receive a monthly stipend as per their education qualification in the form of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Class 12th pass students to get Rs. 6,000, ITI and diploma students will get Rs. 8,000 and students with Graduate degree will get Rs. 10,000 per month.
- Participation: Open to both government establishments and private sectorindustries.

About Maza Ladka Bhau Yojana 2024 in Maharashtra
Just like Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana for women, the state govt. of Maharashtra is set to launch Majha Ladka Bhau Yojana. This scheme aims to enhance candidates' employability through practical training with entrepreneurs. Implementation of Ladla Bhai Yojana is to be carried out by the Department of Skills, Employment, Entrepreneurship & Innovation along with Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan Kaksh.
Maza Ladla Bhai Yojana would run on the similar lines of existing Ladli Behna Yojana in Maharashtra state. For this internship programme, Mahayuti govt. will spend Rs. 5,500 crore. Speaking at a public event in Pandharpur on 16th July 2024, Eknath Shinde made a reference to the 'Majhi Ladki Bahini Yojana', which was introduced in the state Budget to empower and provide financial support to young women. "Many people asked, you made efforts for ladki bahini, what about ladka bhau (dear brother)? So, we have now done it for ladka bhau as well," he said.
