• Upon clicking the link, the page having Bihar Mines Personal Verification Form will open.

• Enter aadhaar number, owner name, gender, year of birth, owner mobile number and click at "Get OTP" button.
• By clicking Get OTP button you agree to terms and conditions of Khanansoft portal. Once OTP is validated, then you can then fill Bihar Mines Vehicle Registration Form through online mode.

• Select state, enter vehicle registration number, vehicle owner name as per RC book, engine no, chassis number, mobile number and click "Get Details" button.

About Mines & Geology Department in Bihar

In 1964, the Govt. of Bihar created a separate and independent department called Mines & Geology to cater to activities related to mining based on availability of minerals across the state. Later on as the responsibilities increased along with volume of work, two directorates called Directorate of Mines and Directorate of Geology came in existence in 1971. After reorganization of the state in 2006, the department and its directorates were reconstituted. 

The Directorate of Mining and the Directorate of Geology were combined as the Directorate of Mines & Geology. Local/regional offices under the Directorate of Geology were done away with and based on the revenue from minerals, offices at Divisional and District level were organized in the following manner:-

• The following districts have Mine Inspectors placed under the Collector: Araria, Arwal, Banka, Begusarai, Bhabhua, Buxar, Darbhanga, Gopalganj, Jehanabad, Katihar, Khagaria, Kishanganj, Madhepura, Madhubani, Motihari, Purnea, Saharsa, Samastipur, Saran, Sheohar, Sitamarhi, Siwan, Supaul and Vaishali.
• Independent offices headed by District Mining Officer exist at Patna, Nalanda, Rohtas, Bhojpur, Gaya, Nawada, Aurangabad, Bettiah, Bhagalpur, Munger, Sheikhpura and Jamui districts.
• Circle Offices are there at Patna, Magadh, Gaya, Saran, Tirhut, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Kosi, Saharsa, Purnea, Munger and Bhagalpur districts at the Divisional-Level.

आवश्यक सूचना : खान एवं भूतत्व विभाग के अधिसूचना संख्या-1882 दिनांक 15/05/2024 के आलोक में सभी वाहन मालिकों को सूचित किया जाता है कि खनिज परिवहन में प्रयुक्त वाहनों पर चारो तरफ लाल रंग (SIGNAL RED) से बीस इंच चौड़ी पट्टी पेंट की जाएगी। उक्त पट्टी पर सफेद रंग से 06 इंच फॉन्ट साईज के शब्दों में खनन वाहन-निबंधन संख्या (खनन साफ्ट में निबंधन संख्या) एवं वाहन का निबंधन संख्या अंकित किया जाना अनिवार्य है। कोई भी वाहन मालिक/ परिवहनकर्ता G.P.S एवं उपरोक्त वर्णित विशिष्ट रंग की पट्टी के बिना खनिज का परिवहन नहीं करेंगे। साथ ही सभी बंदोबस्तधारियों/अनुज्ञप्तिधारियों को आदेश दिया जाता है कि विशिष्ट रंग से खनन वाहन-निबंधन संख्या,वाहन का निबंधन संख्या एवं G.P.S अधिष्ठापित वाहनों को ही परिवहन चालान निर्गत करना सुनिश्चित करेंगे।
