Arunachal government has allocated Rs. 150 crore for CM Social Security Scheme 2024. These funds under CMSSS would be distributed for various pension schemes currently running in the state. Chief Minister's Social Security Scheme includes pensions for old age persons, widow women and persons with disabilities (PWDs).
For Phase-I of CM Social Security Scheme, Rs. 46,62,98,400 has been released across 12 districts. Pension funds for the remaining 13 districts will be disbursed following verification of beneficiary data. This is because there are some discrepancies in data from districts like Namsai, East Siang, and Anjaw.

Arunachal Pradesh CM Social Security Scheme (CMSSS) 2024
The state govt. of Arunachal Pradesh allocates Rs. 150 cr. under Chief Minister's Social Security Scheme (CMSSS) for various pension schemes. The funds under CM Social Security Scheme would be distributed as follows:-
- Chief Minister's Old Age Pension Schemes (CMOAPS) - Allocated funds for Old Age Pension Scheme Arunachal Pradesh will benefit around 64,096 people aged between 60-79 years, with 3,450 beneficiaries aged 80 years and above.
- CM Widow Pension Schemes (CMWPS) - Funds for Widow Pension Scheme Arunachal Pradesh will benefit around 13,209 vidhwa women across the state.
- CM's Disabled Pension Schemes (CMDPS) - Allocated funds for Handicapped Pension Scheme Arunachal Pradesh will benefit around 6,120 divyangjan (persons with disabilities). It highlights the inclusivity of the initiative. The CM Divyang Pension is part of the Chief Minister Pema Khandu-led BJP government's efforts to provide financial aid to differently abled people across the state.
On the disbursement specifics, around Rs. 1,173.562 lakh will be allocated for beneficiaries in the financial year 2023-24. Also, an additional amount of Rs. 217.839 lakh has been earmarked to clear pending liabilities from 2022-23.
