UP Mukhyamantri Khet Suraksha Yojana 2024 - Check Barbed Wire Fencing Subsidy Scheme Details

Uttar Pradesh government has announced Mukhyamantri Khet Suraksha Yojana 2024 for farmers. In this scheme, you can get upto 60% subsidy on barbed wire fencing of your agricultural field. मुख्यमंत्री खेत सुरक्षा योजना in UP Budget 2024-25

5 फ़रवरी 2024 को वित्त मंत्री ने उत्तर प्रदेश बजट 2024-25 पेश किया। UP Budget 2024-2025 पेश करते समय वित्त मंत्री ने कहा कि "कृषि को प्रोत्साहन प्रदान करने के उद्देश्य से तीन नयी योजनाएँ प्रारम्भ की जा रहीं हैं, यथा - राज्य कृषि विकास योजना, विश्व बैंक सहायतित यू०पी० एग्रीज योजना तथा प्रदेश के विकास खण्डों एवं ग्राम पंचायतों में ऑटोमैटिक वेदर स्टेशन ऑटोमैटिक रेन गेज की स्थापना। इन योजनाओं हेतु क्रमशः 200 करोड़ रूपये, 200 करोड़ रूपये एवं 60 करोड़ रूपये की व्यवस्था प्रस्तावित है। साथ ही मुख्यमंत्री खेत सुरक्षा योजना प्रारम्भ की जा रही है जिसके लिये 50 करोड रूपये की व्यवस्था प्रस्तावित है।"

What is UP Mukhyamantri Khet Suraksha Yojana 2024

As you all know that farmers of the country suffers from crop losses due to attack of wild animals on the crops. But farmers are unable to get their fencing done due to high expenditure. Wild and stray animals cause a lot of damage to the farmer's crops. But now farmers will be able to keep their fields safe by getting subsidy on wire fencing under UP Mukhyamantri Khet Suraksha Yojana.

Every year, around 40 per cent of the crops in fields are wasted due to attack by wild animals and stray animals. Wild and stray animals on entering the fields causes great damage to crops. which enter the fields and cause great damage to the crops.

Need for UP Wire Fencing Subsidy Scheme

Although farmers take many measures to prevent wild and stray animals from entering their fields, but as of now, there is no exact solution to tackle this problem. In such a situation, an important initiative namely UP Mukhyamantri Khet Suraksha Yojana to provide subsidy on wire fencing has been taken by the government of Uttar Pradesh.

Now the Agriculture Department of the UP State Government will provide subsidy to the farmers for getting the wire fencing of the fields done under the Mukhyamantri Khet Suraksha Yojana. With Wire Fencing Subsidy Scheme in place, farmers will be able to protect their crops to a great extent.

The decision to start UP Mukhyamantri Khet Suraksha Yojana is taken after observing that about 5 lakh farmers sow crops on several lakh hectares of land in the state, but they are not able to earn suitable money because their crops gets destroyed by the stray animals.

1st Phase of Mukhyamantri Khet Suraksha Yojana

Uttar Pradesh govt officials said that the state govt. will provide a subsidy of 60% for chain fencing or wire fencing of the fields. In the Mukhyamantri Khet Suraksha Yojana 1st phase, around 20 blocks would be selected, as models for the implementation of agriculture schemes. If the result of this UP Wire Fencing Subsidy Scheme is good, then it will be implemented across the entire Uttar Pradesh state.

At present, the UP state govt. has approved Rs. 50 crore for implementation of UP CM Khet Suraksha Scheme which can be increased if required. The implementation work on MP Wire Fencing Subsidy Scheme will be started soon. The state govt. claims that Uttar Pradesh has become the first state in the country, where 60% subsidy will be provided to the farmers by the state government for wire fencing.
