Bhed Bakri Palak Protsahan Yojana in HP Budget 2024-25
While presenting the Himachal Pradesh Budget 2024-25, FM mentioned Bhed Bakri Palak Protsahan Yojana. While delivering the budget speech, FM said "Himachal Pradesh is also a State of sheep and goat rearers. There are 8 lakh sheep and 11 lakh goats in the State. There is no separate provision for FMD Vaccine, deworming medicine and other medicines for sheep and goats. No provision has been made for this even by the Government of India".
FM added "Other major problems of sheep-goat farmers include improvement in Dipping and drenching processes, improvement in the system of wool harvesting, depletion of traditional pastures and paths, sharp fall in the prices of wool due to changes in the international trade. I announce the launch of a new scheme Bhed Bakri Paalak Protsahan Yojana to address above issues. An additional amount of Rs. 10 crore will be spent on this scheme".
Issues of Sheep and Goat Rearers of Himachal Pradesh
