PM Awards 2024 registration and login process begins at pmawards.gov.in portal. PM Awards Scheme aims to acknowledge, recognize and reward the extraordinary and innovative work done by Districts/ Organizations of the central and state governments. The start date and last date to apply online for PM Excellence Awards 2024 are 8th January 2024 and 31 January 2024 respectively. 

PM Awards 2024 Registration & Login at pmawards.gov.in

  • At the homepage, click at the "Registration" tab or directly click https://pmawards.gov.in/register
  • Upon clicking the link, the page to make PM Awards 2024 registration form will appear as shown below:-
  • Enter name, email address, phone number, mobile number, security code and click at "Register" button to complete PM Awards 2024 registration process.
  • Next make login by using "Login" tab present at the homepage or by directly clicking https://pmawards.gov.in/login-form
  • Enter Login ID, password, security code and click "Login" button to make pmawards.gov.in login.
Note that PM Award which are to be distributed in the year 2024 would be based on the performance of applicants in the previous year. That is why, this year's PM Awards Scheme would be known by the name of "Prime Minister's Awards for Excellence in Public Administration 2023". 

General Instructions to Apply Online for PM Awards Scheme 2024

  • Fresh registration need to be done for this year's award, last year's registration are Invalid .
  • Only nic.in and gov.in email Ids are valid for Signup/Registration, on this web portal.
  • Registrations are to be made in the name of DC/DM, head of organisation under State/Centre government using their email and mobile number.
  • Email and mobile number once registered cannot be registered again.
  • After successful registration from this page, one email will be sent with a verification link to your registered email ID.
  • On verification of the link received in your email, you will be asked to set your password for generating your login credentials. You need to write / remember this password.
  • Another email will be sent to your registered email ID intimating your Login ID. which will be in the form of PMA####. Please remember your Login ID. You will be required to login with this Login ID and password (set by you) to access the portal for submitting nominations.
  • On first login with the credentials, you will be asked to update your profile. This is a very important step. Implementing Unit has three values to select from. DC/DM need to select only “District” as implementing unit. For Central government and State government you need to select implementing unit as Centre or State respectively.
  • Selected Implementing unit, cannot be modified at later stage. Please take necessary precautions. However other details can be modified in Edit profile option.
  • As per your profile information provided, you will be shown the schemes available for you to select where you wish to file nominations for the Award.
  • Selection of schemes can be modified at later stage also by you.
  • You will be directed to a page where online Forms under all Schemes are shown for applying.
  • Please note that only under Innovation Category, multiple nominations are allowed by an applicant. For all other schemes, only one nomination per District is allowed.
  • It is advised that the applicant fill in all the mandatory fields in the form and Save as draft till final submission is done. You can edit the Form if it is in Draft Stage.
  • Once Form is completed in all respect including photographs and video link (if any) you can click Final Submit.
  • After final submission option to Edit/Modify the Form will not be available.
  • After submitting the online application, View/print option is available for reference and records.

Scheme for Prime Minister's Awards for Excellence in Public Administration

PM Award Scheme is now being restructured to recognize the performance of the District Collector through targeted individual beneficiaries and implementation with a saturation approach. With this in focus, the applications for Awards would be evaluated on three parameters; Good Governance, Qualitative and Quantitative. 

It is expected that the Central Ministries, States and all Districts participate in this Scheme of Prime Minister‟s Awards for 2023. The Prime Minister's Awards for Excellence in Public Administration under this new scheme shall be conferred by the Hon‟ble Prime Minister. 

Category 1 of PM Award Scheme

This Category will have the following components under which the performance of the Districts will be evaluated in a cumulative manner. The Scheme seeks to encourage last mile delivery, saturation approach and citizen centricity. District Collectors will present a comprehensive picture of the progress achieved across the listed schemes and their leadership role over the implementation period in the nomination form. 
  • Har Ghar Jal Yojana 
  • Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) 
  • Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 
  • Mission Indradhanush 
  • Pradhan Mantri-Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) 
  • Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) 
  • PM SVANidhi 
  • Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana 
  • PM Vishwakarma Yojana 
  • PM MUDRA Yojana 
  • Pradhan Mantri Poshan Yojana 
  • Kisan Credit Card Scheme for Farmers, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries
Ten best performing Districts on a cumulative aggregate criteria will be given awards under this Category. The progress achieved by Districts in adopting saturation approach in the period 1 st April 2021 to 31st January, 2024 would be considered for the Award nomination.

Category 2 of PM Awards Scheme

The Prime Minister‟s Awards for Excellence in Public Administration Scheme recognise innovations at Central, State and District level by officers from all Central Services, as well as from the State Service officers. Nominations can be submitted by Central Ministries/Departments, State/UT Governments and District Collectors under the innovation category. In this category, awards shall be given to Central Ministries / Departments, State/UT Governments and Districts for various innovations in any field of administration. 

There will be 6 Awards in this category; two awards each for Central level, State level and District level initiatives respectively for its demonstration of innovation which is sustainable and can be replicated.

Eligibility Criteria for PM Awards for Excellence in Public Administration

The eligibility to submit nominations for the Prime Minister's Awards for Excellence in Public Administration would be open to the following:- 
  • Awards for Category 1 shall be open for all District Collectors. 
  • Awards for Category 2 - Innovation shall be open for Central Government Ministries / Departments, State/UT Governments and Districts. 
The Period of consideration is 1st April 2021 to 31st January, 2024. The total number of Awards under the Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Public Administration would be 16.

PM Excellence Awards Prize Money

  • The PM Awards for Excellence in Public Administration shall consist of a 
    • trophy, 
    • scroll and 
    • an incentive of Rs. 20 lacs to the awarded District/Organization to be utilized for implementation of project/ programme or bridging resource gaps in any area of public welfare. 
  • A letter of appreciation to be issued by the Secretary, DARPG to the officers who have contributed towards the initiative with a copy to Secretary of concerned Central Ministry/ Department/ Chief Secretary of the concerned State/UT . A copy of the letter to be sent to DOPT for placing in the Performance Appraisal Dossier of the officer.
