Chief Minister Saini mentioned that under the scheme, many of devotees from the state will visit important pilgrimage sites across the country free of cost. To avail the benefits of this scheme, individuals must be over 60 years of age, have an annual family income not exceeding ₹1.80 lakh and must register on the Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana portal.
So far, the state government has dispatched 7 AC Volvo buses under the new scheme.

Haryana Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana 2024 Launch
Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini, under the Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana, on 17 June 2024 flagged-off air conditioned bus from Ambala to Ayodhya Dham carrying 38 pilgrims who will visit the Ram Temple. The CM also interacted with the pilgrims. Earlier, the state govt. planned to send group of pilgrims in the first week of March month but it got delayed due to Lok Sabha elections.Chief Minister Saini mentioned that under the scheme, many of devotees from the state will visit important pilgrimage sites across the country free of cost. Teerth Yatra Yojana in Haryana Budget 2024-25
On 23rd Feb 2024, Finance Minister presented Haryana Budget 2024-25. While delivering the budget speech, FM said "Haryana Teerth Yatra Yojana was launched in December
2023 so that senior citizens get an opportunity to go on a
pilgrimage to important destinations such as Ayodhya, Patna
Sahib, Ajmer Sharif, Varanasi, Amritsar, Ujjain, Katra and
Nanded. Under the scheme, a senior citizen who belongs to a
family whose annual income is up to ₹1.80 lakh would be
eligible for free travel to these destinations. Registration
process has commenced. The first group of pilgrims to
Ayodhya will depart in the first week of March. Thereafter,
I hope that groups of pilgrims will avail the benefit of the
Scheme to visit a pilgrim centre every week".

- First of all, visit the official website at https://saralharyana.gov.in/
- At the homepage, click at "New User?Register Here" link to open Saral Portal Haryana registration page.
- Enter name, email ID, mobile number, password, captcha, select state and click at "Submit" button.
- After Saral Haryana portal registration, you can make login using Login ID and password.
- Then Saral Haryana Service Plus (dashboard) page will open.
- Here you can click at "Apply for Services - View all available services" link.
- Next you can view all available services. In the search box, you can type "TIRTH".
- Then the scheme named "Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana" will get displayed. Click on that scheme name.

Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana in Other Indian States
Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana is becoming popular these days. Similar to Haryana, several state governments are introducing it for their residents like Delhi and Punjab. Some other states like Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh are also running their teerth yatra schemes in the name of Varishtha Nagrik tirth yatra yojana and Tirth darshan yojana respectively.
Pilgrims will be taken to religious destinations, both within and outside the state, via trains and buses. Earlier on 6 November 2023, the Punjab Cabinet led by Chief Minister himself had approved the Free Pilgrimage Scheme, allowing state residents to undertake tirath yatra. Punjab cabinet has made a budgetary provision of Rs. 40 crore for this initiative.
Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana in Punjab
On 5th March 2024, Finance Minister presented Punjab Budget 2024-25. While delivering the budget speech, FM said "Through “Mukhyamantri Tirath Yatra” we have been able to offer
Punjabis an opportunity for free pilgrimage to various religious places of
the Nation. An allocation of ₹550 crore for the transport sector with
₹25 crore for this scheme is proposed in FY 2024-25".
On 27 November 2023 on the occasion of Guru Parb, CM Bhagwant Mann has launched Punjab Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana. The scheme, named the मुख्यमंत्री तीर्थ यात्रा योजना in its first phase would run from Nov 27, 2023 to February 29, 2024. In the 1st phase of the scheme, around 50,000 people shall go to pilgrimage.
Pilgrims will be taken to religious destinations, both within and outside the state, via trains and buses. Earlier on 6 November 2023, the Punjab Cabinet led by Chief Minister himself had approved the Free Pilgrimage Scheme, allowing state residents to undertake tirath yatra. For 13 weeks running of the scheme, pilgrims can visit places like Sh. Nanded Sahib, Patna Sahib, Varanasi, Anandpur Sahib, Talwandi Sabo, Mata Naina Devi Mandir etc. The first train under Punjab Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojna has left from Amritsar Railway Station to Shri Nanded Sahib.
