The Yuva Nidhi scheme was earlier announced by INC chief Mr. Rahul Gandhi while he was on a tour to Karnataka before assembly elections. He announced that state govt. will provide monthly allowance to unemployed youths, hence now the registration starts. Yuvanidhi Scheme in Karnataka Budget 2024-25
On 16th Feb 2024, Finance Minister presented Karnataka Budget 2024-25. While delivering the budget speech, FM said "Yuvanidhi is a scheme which reassures the unemployed youth and supports them with financial assistance as they search for jobs. The Yuvanidhi scheme was launched on the birthday of Swami Vivekanand which is also the National Youth Day. Under this scheme, a monthly unemployment allowance of Rs. 3,000 is given to unemployed degree holders and Rs. 1,500 unemployment allowance is given to diploma holders who are unemployed and searching for job. Apart from the unemployment allowance, skill development training will be imparted to these youths by Department of Skill Development to improve their employability. More than one lakh youths have registered under this scheme and unemployment allowance of Rs. 24 crore has been transferred through DBT".
FM added "Under Yuvanidhi Plus initiative, job readiness and skills training will be given to 25,000 yuvanidhi beneficiaries under the various ongoing skill courses provided by Skill Development Department. Yuva samruddi udyoga mela will be organised in various parts of the State by bringing job seekers and employers under one roof. In the skill development
sector, through Yuva Nidhi and Yuva Nidhi
Plus initiatives, in the next 4 years, the youth
will be ready for jobs tailored to the demands
of the industry. We are firmly committed to
these initiatives".
Yuva Nidhi Scheme 2024 Online Application / Registration Form
Yuva Nidhi Scheme registration process has started from 26 December 2023. One who wish to get the benefit of Yuva Nidhi Yojana can apply by logging on to 'Seva Sindhu portal', or through 'Karnataka One', 'Bengaluru One', 'Grama One' and 'Bapuji Seva Kendra'. The enrollment will be free of cost. Here is the complete process to apply online for Yuva Nidhi Yojana:-
The government has identified 5,29,123 graduates and diploma holders across the state as per a survey conducted by the higher education department. Out of this 4,81,000 are graduates and 48,153 are diploma holders. The dole will be available for candidates who remain unemployed after 180 days of the declaration of their graduation or diploma exam results. It will be given for two years from the date of the announcement of the results or till candidates get a job or become self-employed, whichever is earlier.
If a beneficiary gets a job, he or she has to promptly declare their employment status through the Sevasindhu portal within the 25th of that month. If a candidate gives a wrong declaration, legal action will be initiated and the amount paid will be recovered from him or her. The scheme is launched under the Commissionerate of Industrial Training and Employment under the Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood.

- Once you reach the home page of Yuva Nidhi scheme, you can click "ಯುವನಿಧಿ" tab.

- Then the page to fill Application for Yuvanidhi Scheme will open on your screen.
- If you are an existing user (have login ID, OTP/password), then you can login to apply for yuvanidhi scheme.
- However, if are a new user then you can click at "Register here" link to open Yuva Nidhi Scheme online registration form
- Here enter aadhaar number, click at "Next" to proceed to fill Yuva Nidhi Yojana registration form.
- It would ask for personal and educational qualification related details.
- Fill and recheck your information before pressing the next option.
- Attach your documents with your Yuva Nidhi scheme form.
- Now submit your form.
- Once registration is complete, you will get login ID and password.
- Then login to apply online and fill Yuva Nidhi Scheme application form.

About Karnataka Yuva Nidhi Yojana 2024
Karnataka CM launched Yuvanidhi scheme on 12 January 2024, under which people who completed graduation or diploma courses will get unemployment allowances for two years. It is one of the five poll guarantees made by the Congress during the Assembly elections. Earlier while addressing a public gathering, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that the Yuva Nidhi yojana will be implemented soon for unemployed youths. He stated that all unemployed youths will be given unemployment allowance as per their degree.
Yuvanidhi Scheme Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant youth must be permanent citizen of Karnataka state.
- Candidate must be unemployed.
- Candidate must hold a bachelor degree or diploma certificate.
- Both male and female candidates can apply for Yuva Nidhi.
- All the official documents of educational qualifications must be present.
- According to the government, Candidates must belong to the academic year 2022-23 and should pass graduation/diploma in 2023.
- Candidates should also be from the domicile of Karnataka during graduation and diploma for a minimum of 6 years. Domicile status will be verified through SSLC marks card, PUC marks card or degree marks card. CET registration number or ration card which was issued on or before 2017 will also be considered.
The Karnataka government has also clarified that candidates don’t need to wait for the completion of 180 days after the course for registration in Yuva Nidhi and can immediately apply for it. However, unemployment allowance will be provided only after 180 days of unemployment.
Who are not eligible for Yuvanidhi Yojana?
- Those who are employed in Government service.
- Those who are employed in the private sector.
- Those who are self-employed.
- Those who are continuing higher education.
- Those who are not residents of Karnataka.
Yuva Nidhi Scheme 2023-24 Apply Online Process Start Date
The apply online process for Yuva Nidhi Scheme has been started from 26 December 2023. Eligible candidates can apply by logging onto Sevasindhu portal https://sevasindhugs.karnataka.gov.in/. The candidates can check their academic certificates through NAD Portal link http://nad.karnataka.gov.in using their degree or diploma registration number which are already uploaded from the universities and education Institutions.
Unemployment Allowance Amount under Yuva Nidhi Scheme
Under Yuva Nidhi Scheme, unemployment allowance will be given to the youth of Karnataka according to their education qualification as mentioned here:-- Rs. 3000 per month for unemployed graduate (who have bachelor's degree)
- Rs. 1500 per month for unemployed diploma holders.
The government of Karnataka will create 10 lakh jobs for unemployed youths along with filling 2.5 lakh government posts with deserving youth of the Karnataka state.
