Mukhyamantri Sva Niyojan Yojana Assam 2024 Online Registration Form

Assam government is inviting Mukhyamantri Sva Niyojan Yojana 2024 online registration form. This scheme aims to promote micro-entrepreneurs to provide self employment opportunities to un-employed youth. Income generation activities would be supported under CM Sva Niyojan scheme. Mukhya Mantri Sva-Niyojan Mission in Assam Budget 2024-25

On 12 February 2024, Finance Minister presented Assam budget 2024-25. While presenting the budget FM said "Mahoday, last year I announced Mukhya Mantri Sva-Niyojan Mission as a flagship scheme. It received tremendous response and about 1,04,000 youth applied and submitted detailed project reports. Selection process shall commence from this February month itself". 

FM added "Micro-entrepreneurs will receive Rs. 2 lakh and Rs. 5 lakh in instalments, as a combination of government grant plus interest free government loan. Interest free government loan to be paid back after a period of 5 years starting from the 61st month in 60 equal instalments. There will be training and mentorship in various sectors including Trading, Manufacturing, Service, Food processing, Handloom, Handicraft, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fishery, and Dairy etc. Rs. 1010 crore will be spent for this purpose from under Chief Minister Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojna (CMSGUY).

Mukhyamantri Sva Niyojan Yojana in Assam Budget 2023-24

Finance Minister presented Assam Budget 2023-24 on 16 March 2023. While delivering the Assam Budget Speech, FM has announced to launch a new Mukhyamantri Sva Niyojan Yojana to create self employment opportunities for unemployed youth. 

FM said "Speaker Sir, with an intent to create self-employment in the private sector, which has a catalytic effect in creation of many more indirect jobs, our Government proposes to implement a scheme to promote micro-entrepreneurs for creating self employment opportunities among the un-employed youths belonging to BPL families and low-income households.

Activities under Mukhyamantri Sva-Niyojan Yojana

The following income generating activities would be supported under Mukhyamantri Sva Niyojan Yojana:-

• Trading,
• Manufacturing,
• Service,
• Food processing,
• Handloom,
• Handicraft,
• Agriculture and allied- Animal Husbandry,
• Fishery
• Dairy

Amount under Mukhya Mantri Sva-Niyojan Mission

Assam govt. proposed to cover one lakh eligible beneficiaries, who will be provided with a one-time Seed Capital of Rs. 2 lakh in tranches for starting micro-enterprise units in the next three years. This amount may be suitably increased with bank linkage wherever feasible. The entrepreneurs who have already availed credit linkage under SVAYEM and are continuing their activities successfully, will be given preference in Mukhyamantri Sva Niyojan Scheme.

The state government proposes to cover another one lakh entrepreneur-youths who will be provided project-based subsidy in defined projects, targeting the MSME and other segments. The total investment under this initiative, thus will be Rs. 5000 cr over the next three years with a potential to transform over two lakh unemployed youths into job creators.
