The idea of a sustained and structured cultural connect between people of different regions was mooted by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi during the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas held on 31st October, 2015, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The Hon'ble Prime Minister propounded that cultural diversity is a joy that ought to be celebrated through mutual interaction & reciprocity between people of different States and UTs so that a common spirit of understanding resonates throughout the country. Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme aims to enhance interaction & promote mutual understanding between people of different states/UTs. The states/UTs carry out activities to promote a sustained and structured cultural connection in the areas of language learning, culture, traditions & music, tourism & cuisine, sports and sharing of best practices, etc.
India being a nation with one of the youngest populations in the world, the initiative of ‘Yuva Sangam (युवासंगम) under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat has been conceptualised with an aim to strengthen people to people connect and build empathy among youth across the nation. Phase IV of Yuva Sangam focuses on conducting educational cum cultural exposure tours of the youths comprising mainly of students studying in Higher Educational institutions & some off-campus youngsters from across the Nation to various States/UTs of India. It will provide the selected youths an immersive experience of eclectic facets of life, development landmarks, recent achievements and a youth connect in the host State/UT. During their visits, the youth will get multi-dimensional exposure under five broad areas – Paryatan (Tourism), Parampara (Traditions), Pragati (Development) and Paraspar Sampark (People-to-people connect), Prodyogik (Technology).
Phase I of Yuva Sangam was concluded with overwhelming participation of about 1200 youngsters and coordinators from 25 Institutions visiting 23 States of India through 29 tours with main focus on North Eastern Region. During Phase II of the Yuva Sangam, close to 1000 youth and coordinators from 20 Institutions participated in the 20 tours covering 23 states/ UTs. In the recently concluded Yuva Sangam Phase III, approximately 1000 youth and coordinators from 20 Institutions covered 22 States/ UTs. The participants have had an enriching experience which brought out the spirit of EK BHARAT SHRESHTHA BHARAT in its true sense.

Yuva Sangam Portal Registration 2024 (Phase 4)
- First of all, go to Yuva Sangam official website at https://ebsb.aicte-india.org/
- Click at "Register" link to reach down to "Yuva Sangam (युवा संगम) Phase IV under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Registration Form" section.
- Select degree / qualification level. You will have to select one from either "UG student", "PG student" or "off campus youth" options.
- Let us suppose that we have selected "UG student" option.
- Then Yuva Sangam Portal Registration form phase 4 will open on your screen.
- Fill in name, gender, age, email ID, phone number, state, district, region, name of university / college / institution, current academic stream, covid vaccination, student ID/govt. ID number, mapped state, domain of interest and other details.
- Also you will have to upload Student ID / Govt. ID Proof to complete Yuva Sangam yojana online registration process.

Yuva Sangam (युवा संगम) Phase-IV launched under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. It is an initiative by Government of India to strengthen people to people connect especially among youth across the Nation. The Yuva Sangam Phase 4 focuses on conducting exposure tours of the youths comprising mainly of students studying in Higher Educational institutions & some off-campus youngsters from across the Nation to various States of India.It will provide an immersive experience of numerous facets of life, development landmarks, recent achievements and a youth connect in the host state.During their visits, the youth will have a multi-dimensional exposure under five broad areas
- Paryatan (Tourism),
- Parampara (Traditions),
- Pragati (Development)
- Paraspar Sampark (People-to-people connect),
- Prodyogik (Technology).
Eligibility and General Guidelines for delegates in Yuva Sangam Phase-4
- All Indian citizens of the age group 18-30 years – students, NSS/ NYKS volunteers, employed/ self-employed persons, etc. are eligible to apply under this programme
- This season of Yuva Sangam (Phase-IV) covers 25 States / UTs of India.
- The Nodal Higher Education Institution will make the final selection for the students/youth residing in the State/UT where the HEIs is located.
- UG, PG students, PhD Scholars & other youth will be considered for selection.
- The selection will be made keeping in view various parameters like equal representation of male and female, educational background, academic disciplines, adequate representation from rural / remote areas, inclusivity, representation from all section of the society etc.
- The youth selected to participate in the YUVA SANGAM (Phase-IV), i.e. the delegates will be contacted by the Nodal Officers of Higher Education Institutions for all further correspondence
- The applicant should be medically fit and able to travel.
- During the journey, the delegates will need to maintain decorum at all times.
- Delegates should follow covid appropriate behaviour, as applicable, during entire visit.
- Delegates travelling in a group are expected to adhere strictly to the guidelines given by the coordinator of the group.
- Delegates must respect the cultural and ethnic sensitivities of the State/UT during the visit.
