Odisha government has announced Mukhyamantri Medhabi Chhatrabruti Yojana 2023-2024 in recently presented budget. Mukhyamantri Medhabi Chhatrabruti Yojana In Odisha Budget 2023-24

Finance minister has presented Odisha Budget 2023-24 on 24 February 2023. While delivering the Odisha Budget Speech 2023-24, FM said "I am happy to propose a new scheme named Mukhya Mantri Medhabi Chhatrabruti Yojana to be implemented for the meritorious students. 10,000 eligible undergraduate students will get an amount of Rs. 10,000/- per annum. Similarly, 5000 eligible PG Students will get scholarship of Rs. 15,000/- per annum. 10,000 eligible Technical and Professional Students will get scholarships of Rs. 20,000/- per annum".
FM also said "From 2023-24, 200 meritorious students selected through entrance exam will be provided free coaching for Civil Services Examination along with free lodging and boarding facilities".

Mukhyamantri Medhabi Chatra Protsahan Yojana in Odisha Budget 2023-24

FM also said "Under the Mukhyamantri Medhabi Chatra Protsahan Yojana an outlay of Rs. 811 crore is proposed for disbursement of scholarship to more than 23 Lakhs students of which 60% are girls. The residential facilities and scholarship schemes cover students in pre and post matric grades. In the year 2022-23, 99% students passed secondary board examinations. Keeping holistic development of students in mind, an additional amount of Rs. 1,000 per child per annum has been proposed and this will augment in providing proper nutrition to nearly 6 Lakh ST & SC boarders residing in more than 5500 Hostels. The additional amount will be exclusively spent on nutrition by way of providing eggs 4 days in a week and chicken/fish one day a week".
