About PM Kisan FPO Yojana 2024

Central government has started "Formation and Promotion of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPO) Scheme" and will support FPOs till the year 2024. PM Kisan FPO Yojana online registration form 2024 for farmers present at enam.gov.in portal. Modi govt. is going to open 10,000 FPOs in 5 years duration i.e from 2019-20 to 2023-2024 to ensure economies of scale for farmers. All FPOs aims to provide platform to small farmers to enable them to collectively tackle their challenges such as accessing agricultural inputs and marketing of produce.

How to Apply Online for PM Kisan FPO Yojana

Farmers apply online for PM Kisan FPO Yojana at enam.gov.in portal. Nation wide launch of PM Kisan FPO Yojana has been done in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh on 29 February 2020. FPO's cooperative platform would turn farmers into businessman as 86% of farmers falls in small and marginal category having less than 1.1 hectare of landholding. FPOs will be formed to work to raise farmers income. Currently, farmers are considered only as producer of crops but with introduction of PM FPO Scheme, they would be able to negotiate prices of their produce with traders and do business.

How Can FPO Register

FPOs/FPCs can register on e-NAM Portal via website (www.enam.gov.in) or mobile app or providing following details at nearest e-NAM mandi:

• Name of FPOs/ FPCs
• Name, address, email Id and contact no. of authorized person (MD/CEO /Manager )
• Bank account Details ( Name of Bank, Branch, Account no. IFSC Code )

What is an FPO

The concept behind Farmer Producer Organizations is that farmers, who are the producers of agricultural products, can form groups. To facilitate this process, the Small Farmers’ Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC) was mandated by Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India, to support the State Governments in the formation of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs).

What is the Role of FPOs

The role of FPO is to act as an aggregator for member farmers including from inputs to output which will enhance the economy of scale and bargaining power of member farmers. In case of unsold Lots, Logisitics arrangement is to be made by FPO/FPC.

What are Benefits for FPOs/FPCs

• FPOs/ FPCs can act as an aggregator for its member and sell through e-trading as one/ multiple lot depending upon requirement. 
• Payment will be done directly to the FPO/ FPCs bank account. In turn FPO/ FPCs can distribute among members.
• Union budget has made provision to install collection/ sorting/ grading/ packing facilities at their premises.
• Provision for personalised dashboard and real time information on arrival, quality and price of commodities.

How Many FPO’s are Registered with e-NAM Portal

Curently 2318 FPO's have been onboarded on eNAM platform.

How Payment Would be Made In PM Kisan FPO Yojana

• The entire Payment will be credited to One Bank account of FPO/FPC.
• Post credit of Payment disbursal of amount to Individual members farmers has to be done by FPO/FPC
• FPOs/FPCs will be provided access to e-NAM Dashboard to see MIS and Reports related to the Trade executed by FPOs/FPCs

FPOs will usher in farmer's lives and enable farmers to create wonders through FPOs in their state. To improve financial conditions of farmers, central govt. has raised minimum support price (MSP) of crops, started soil health card scheme, neem coating of urea and completed pending irrigation projects for welfare of farmers. Union govt. of India will make every possible efforts to reduce capital cost of farmers and increase their productivity. Central govt. is making efforts to bring agricultural markets closer to farming fields to enable farmers to get better price of their agricultural produce. In the next few years, grameen haat (village markets) will become new centres of agriculture economy.
