Latest Update on UP CM Fellowship Program for Aspirational Cities

Chief Minister Fellowship Program for Aspirational Cities is in line with the Union govt's Aspirational Development Block initiative. The urban development department, in accordance with the chief minister’s directives, initiated online registration for the program under the Aspirational City Scheme on December 4, 2023 at https://anyurban.upsdc.gov.in/. UP takes lead as 1st state in the nation to embark on a development venture like the Aspirational City Scheme. This initiative invites the active involvement of the youth and other citizens in the state’s urban development, planning, management, and monitoring, the release said.

Yogi Adityanath-led govt's cabinet recently granted approval for the "Aspirational City Plan." This plan aims to to generate fresh employment opportunities and enhance basic urban amenities, education, health and social infrastructure in 100 small cities with populations ranging from 20,000 to one lakh. CM Fellowship Program emerges as a crucial step within the Aspirational City Scheme, empowering youth to actively contribute to urban development, planning, management, and monitoring. The initiative not only fosters independent thought and innovation but also presents the prospect of placement in the government sector for high-performing fellows

Key focus areas under the CM Fellowship scheme in Uttar Pradesh encompass the following:-

Eligibility criteria for the CM Fellowship Program mandate applicants to hold a Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in the relevant field, with a maximum age limit of 40 years. मुख्यमंत्री फेलोशिप कार्यक्रम in UP Budget 2023-24

उत्तर प्रदेश बजट 2023-24 पेश करते समय वित्त मंत्री ने कहा की "प्रदेश के युवाओं को सरकार के साथ नीति, प्रबन्धन, क्रियान्वयन अनुश्रवण के कार्यों में सहभागिता का विशिष्ट अवसर प्रदान करने के उद्देश्य से प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा मुख्यमंत्री फेलोशिप कार्यक्रम संचालित किया गया है। कार्यक्रम के अन्तर्गत प्रदेश के 100 आकांक्षात्मक विकास खंडों में केन्द्र / राज्य सरकार द्वारा संचालित योजनाओं का समवर्ती मूल्यांकन कार्य करने हेतु विधिक प्रक्रियान्तर्गत शोधार्थियों का चयन किया गया है। योजना हेतु वित्तीय वर्ष 2023 2024 के बजट में 05 करोड़ रूपये की व्यवस्था प्रस्तावित है"।

Last Year's CM Fellowship Program in UP (2022-2023)

Last year also the state govt. of Uttar Pradesh government had invited applications for Chief Minister's Fellowship Programme 2022-23 from research scholars. In यूपी मुख्यमंत्री फेलोशिप योजना, research fellows were given task to carry out research and development work in backward blocks. Under the Chief Minister’s Fellowship Program, which was then designed for one year, UP government attached one candidate to each of the 100 blocks.

Earlier on 19 July 2022, the state cabinet had given its approval to launch the CM fellowship programme. Furthermore the CM Fellowship program aims to connect the candidates with government policymaking, management, project implementation and monitoring.

UP CM Fellowship Programme 2022-23 Salary / Allowance

UP government had fixed a salary of Rs 30,000 along with a travel allowance of Rs 10,000 per month. A one-time payment of Rs 15,000 for purchase of a digital tablet was also made for the year 2022-23.

Eligibility Criteria for UP CM Fellowship Yojana 2022-2023

All those applicants who fulfills the below mentioned eligibility criteria will be eligible for enrollment in UP CM Fellowship Programme:-

• Applicants must be a permanent resident of the Uttar Pradesh state.
• Applicants should not be above 40 years old.
• He / She must be proficient in reading and writing in Hindi.
• Applicant must be willing to get posted in rural parts of the state. 

Applicants will be picked on the basis of their educational qualification, national and international awards, special achievements, voluntary work and work experience among others.

Salient Features of Chief Minister Fellowship Program 2022-23

• The CM fellowship Programme is a full-time engagement and no other study programme/ employment etc. will be allowed during fellowship tenure.
• Applicants should not be older than 40 years as on the last date of submission of application form on portal.
• Graduation with first class or minimum 60% marks or higher educational qualification from recognised institutes/universities.
• Should be proficient in speaking and writing Hindi (Devanagari script).
• Relevant work experience in any of the areas listed in the application (published articles/policy papers/research papers/appraisal/monitoring of projects and schemes etc. in the thematic areas related to fellowship) Evidence has to be provided.
• Statement of Purpose will undergo a stringent plagiarism test.
• Applicants should have excellent computer skills and ability to work on Information and Communication Technology applications and also communication skills. Preference may be given to candidates having experience in data analysis.
• It is mandatory for the candidates to be willing to work in the field/ do field work.
• Applicants are advised to submit their application forms well in advance to avoid any server related technical problems on last date. Portal host will not be responsible for any such issue.
