PM Gati Shakti Yojana portal has been launched at pmgatishakti.gov.in. It is a national master plan for world class modern infrastructure. Prime Minister launched PM GatiShakti - National Master Plan for multi modal connectivity. It is essentially a digital platform to bring 16 ministries including railways and roadways together for integrated planning and coordinated implementation of infrastructure connectivity projects. The multi-modal connectivity will provide integrated and seamless connectivity for movement of people, goods and services from one mode of transport to another.
The announcement to start PM Gatishakti National Master Plan was earlier made on the occasion of Independence Day (15 August 2021) from Red Fort. - First of all, visit the PM Gati Shakti Yojana Portal at https://pmgatishakti.gov.in/pmgatishakti/login
- At the homepage, click at "Login" button to open the pop up window as displayed here.
- Select login type as either "National Master Portal" or "Ministry" by clicking at the respective tab.
- For eg- we have selected login type as National Master Portal. Then the PM Gati Shakti Portal login page will open as shown below:-
- Enter username, password, OTP, captcha and click at "Log In" tab to make National Master Portal login.
7 Engines to Drive PM Gati Shakti Yojana 2024
PM GatiShakti is a transformative approach for economic growth and sustainable development. The approach is driven by seven engines namely:-

PM Gatishakti aims to pull forward the economy and provide more jobs and opportunities for the youth. These engines are supported by the complementary roles of Energy Transmission, IT Communication, Bulk Water & Sewerage, and Social Infrastructure. Finally, the approach is powered by Clean Energy and Sabka Prayas - the efforts of the Central Government, the state governments, and the private sector together - leading to huge job and entrepreneurial opportunities for all, especially the youth.
About PM Gati Shakti Yojana
PM Gati Shakti is an approach for growth accelerating trustworthy infrastructure through synchronized, holistic, integrated, and comprehensive planning based on knowledge, technology and innovation. This requires ministries to facilitate the relevant stakeholders including public and private entities which need various central/state approvals and NOCs (No Objection Certificates) to set up infrastructure projects.PM Gati Shakti is an approach for growth accelerating trustworthy infrastructure through synchronized, holistic, integrated, and comprehensive planning based on knowledge, technology and innovation. This requires ministries to facilitate the relevant stakeholders including public and private entities which need various central/state approvals and NOCs (No Objection Certificates) to set up infrastructure projects.
Under the vision for Gati Shakti, these approvals and NOCs should be available on a common portal for investors without any need to go to separate platforms to avail such approvals. As such the National Single Window System has been entrusted with the task of onboarding critical approvals and NOCs from a set of 9 ministries for end-to-end application and subsequent approval.
Based on the information shared by the ministries, more than 427 approvals and NOCs have been mapped onto a Know Your Approvals (KYA) module for applicants to understand the list of approvals that they need for their infrastructure projects under PM Gati Shakti

- At this page, click at the "Apply for Gati Shakti Approvals" tab to open page where one can apply online for approvals under PM Gati Shakti Scheme.
- On the opened page, one can select ministry and submit to know your approvals.
PM Gati Shakti Yojana in Union Budget 2024-25
On 1 February 2024, Finance Minister presented Union Budget 2024-25 in which she said that 3 major economic railway corridor programmes will be implemented. These are:
She also said "The resultant decongestion of the high-traffic corridors will also help in improving operations of passenger trains, resulting in safety and higher travel speed for passengers. Together with dedicated freight corridors, these three economic corridor programmes will accelerate our GDP growth and reduce logistic costs".
- energy, mineral and cement corridors,
- port connectivity corridors, and
- high traffic density corridors.

Even Forty thousand normal rail bogies will be converted to the Vande Bharat standards to enhance safety, convenience and comfort of passengers.
PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan Details
The scope of PM GatiShakti National Master Plan will encompass the seven engines for economic transformation, seamless multimodal connectivity and logistics efficiency. It will also include the infrastructure developed by the state governments as per the GatiShakti Master Plan. The focus will be on planning, financing including through innovative ways, use of technology, and speedier implementation.
The projects pertaining to these 7 engines in the National Infrastructure Pipeline will be aligned with PM GatiShakti framework. The touchstone of the Master Plan will be world-class modern infrastructure and logistics synergy among different modes of movement - both of people and goods - and location of projects. This will help raise productivity, and accelerate economic growth and development.
Road Transport
PM GatiShakti Master Plan for Expressways will be formulated in 2024-2025 to facilitate faster movement of people and goods. The National Highways network will be expanded and Rs. 20,000 crore will be mobilized through innovative ways of financing to complement the public resources.Seamless Multimodal Movement of Goods and People
The data exchange among all mode operators will be brought on Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP), designed for Application Programming Interface (API). This will provide for efficient movement of goods through different modes, reducing logistics cost and time, assisting just-in-time inventory management, and in eliminating tedious documentation. Most importantly, this will provide real time information to all stakeholders, and improve international competitiveness. Open-source mobility stack, for organizing seamless travel of passengers will also be facilitated.Multimodal Logistics Parks
Contracts for implementation of Multimodal Logistics Parks at four locations through PPP mode will be awarded.Railways
- Railways will develop new products and efficient logistics services for small farmers and Small and Medium Enterprises, besides taking the lead in integration of Postal and Railways networks to provide seamless solutions for movement of parcels.
- "One Station-One Product" concept will be popularized to help local businesses & supply chains.
- One hundred PM GatiShakti Cargo Terminals for multimodal logistics facilities will be developed till the financial year 2024-2025.
Mass Urban Transport Including Connectivity to Railways
Innovative ways of financing and faster implementation will be encouraged for building metro systems of appropriate type at scale. Multimodal connectivity between mass urban transport and railway stations will be facilitated on priority. Design of metro systems, including civil structures, will be re-oriented and standardized for Indian conditions and needs.Parvatmala: National Ropeways Development Programme
As a preferred ecologically sustainable alternative to conventional roads in difficult hilly areas, National Ropeways Development Programme will be taken up on PPP mode. The aim is to improve connectivity and convenience for commuters, besides promoting tourism. This may also cover congested urban areas, where conventional mass transit system is not feasible.Capacity Building for Infrastructure Projects
With technical support from the Capacity Building Commission, central ministries, state governments, and their infra-agencies will have their skills upgraded. This will ramp up capacity in planning, design, financing (including innovative ways), and implementation management of the PM GatiShakti infrastructure projects.
