Odisha Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana Entitlement Cards to 20 Lakh BPGY Beneficiaries

Odisha government is going to provide Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana Entitlement Cards to 20 lakh BPGY beneficiaries. Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water dept. announced to organize camps to distribute 20 lakh entitlement cards to beneficiaries of pucca ghar scheme. CM Naveen Patnaik has started distribution of BPGY housing scheme cards. 

Accordingly, other Cabinet ministers will also take part in different camps and distribute the cards among the BPGY beneficiaries. The Odisha govt. has issued guidelines to run the campaign for distribution of Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana Entitlement Cards to 20 lakh beneficiaries. 

The main objective is to provide pucca ghar to each poor household in the state so that no one is left homeless.

Odisha BPGY Entitlement Cards to 20 Lakh Beneficiaries

As per the campaign guidelines, Odisha govt. will organize camps at block level which would be chaired by the ministers. In case ministers are unable to attend the block-level programmes, then local MLA's will take part in the distribution of BPGY Entitlement Cards. This campaign has started on 5 March on the occasion of Panchayati Raj Divas.

As a mark of the official launch of campaign, CM distributed the eligibility cards to beneficiaries of Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana. More than 20 lakh such beneficiaries from the state will receive the entitlement cards. All the cards will only be distributed among the beneficiaries at their respective blocks. The campaign to distribute BPGY entitlement cards to Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana beneficiaries will end soon.

Odisha govt. has designated ministers to visit camps to distribute BPGY Entitlement Cards. As per the norms prepared for distribution of cards at each camp, govt. will disburse Rs. 20,000 amount from Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) contingency fund. The block development officers (BDOs) will download the list of beneficiaries and make necessary arrangements for the camps.

As per the norms, the dept. will give entitlement cards and holograms to the BDOs. These BDO's will prepare cards with names and special serial number of Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana beneficiaries. Apart from the Collectors, special officials would also be asked to streamline the campaign in the districts.
