AP Cattle Health Card Scheme 2024 Apply Online: Andhra Pradesh govt. has launched Pasu Bhima Padhakam to provide livestock insurance to farmers. Under this scheme, govt. will provide AP Cattle Health Cards to farmers. All the families identified through Livestock Census would be benefited and can apply for AP Cattle Health Card Scheme. All health-related services such as de-worming, breeding, brucellosis vaccination, foot and mouth disease control, entertoxemia disease (ETD) control, sheep packs would be covered under the scheme.
In the new AP Cattle Health Card Scheme, vaccination and de-worming program would be conducted 2 times in single year across the state. In this scheme, govt. will also compensate for loss of cattle under livestock loss compensation provision.

YSR Pasu Bhima Padhakam Scheme in AP Budget 2024-25
On 7th February 2024, Finance Minister presented AP Budget 2024-25. While presenting the Andhra Pradesh Budget, FM said "Livestock insurance is provided through YSR Pasu Bhima Padhakam Scheme & Dr. YSR Sanchara Pasu Arogya Seva with 340 Mobile Ambulatory Veterinary Clinics has resulted in doorstep delivery of services to farmers."AP YSR Pasu Bhima Padhakam Objectives
Government of AP stated policy of continuous support to farming community across the state, it has taken a decision to provide subsidy towards the amount spent on animal Insurance. The government has outlining the details of this scheme which is expected to cover around 60 lakh animals. Further, the department has framed the implementation framework basis. As part of this, it has been decided to have an ICT solution to properly manage and monitor the implementation of this scheme across the state.Scope of Livestock Insurance Scheme in Andhra Pradesh
- Cattle & Buffaloes: 5 Animals per household / ration card.
- Sheep & Goat / Pigs: Restricted to 50 animals household per annum / ration card.
AP Cattle Health Card Scheme Apply Online (Process Flow)
- First you have to login to the AHD site in order to start the Pasu Bhima Registration process.

- The Institutions like RBK/RLU/VD/VH only can do the Pasu Bhima Registration process.
- So, the employees under RBK/RLU/VD/VH institutions should login with their username and password.
Pasu Bhima Farmer Registration Form 2024
- Farmer registrations will be done in VH/VD/RLU/RBK user’s login.
- Click on "Farmer Registration" option in Pasu Bhima Tab.
- Enter Farmer/Beneficiary/Owner details, Address, and Nominee details correctly and upload the required documents properly.
- Recheck all the entered details and click on the Submit button.
- Then upload supporting documents of farmers:-
- Note-1: If the farmer comes under BPL (Below the poverty line), upload Rice Card and Aadhaar Card.
- Note-2: If the farmer comes under APL (Above Poverty Line) and the social status is SC/ST. Upload Aadhaar card and Caste certificate
- Note-3: The entire file uploads should be in JPG or JPEG formats only and the file size should be less than 512KB.
- After successful submission, the farmer registration details will be shown in a grid.
Distribution of Cattle Health Cards in AP State
Every household in Andhra Pradesh which owns cattle would be given health cards under AP Cattle Health Card Scheme. Around 25 lakh such families have been identified through the livestock census conducted in FY 2020. As per the census, approx. 1.6 crore bovine and 2.37 crore sheep and goats would be covered under this service.
AP Health Cards would also include medical aid for newborn calves. As per an estimate, around 12 lakh calves are born in Andhra Prdaesh every year. Once the calf is born, the owner should take it to the hospital and get it registered using his card obtained under AP Health Card Scheme. In the Livestock Loss Compensation Scheme, the Andhra Pradesh govt. will provide the following compensation:-
- Rs. 30,000 for loss of country bred (fine quality) bovine.
- Rs. 15,000 for loss of country bred (common variety) cattle.
- Amount of Rs. 6,000 to be extended upto Rs. 1,20,000 for 20 animals of each owner for loss of sheep and goat.
Guidelines for AP Cattle Health Cards Download
Once the farmers gets health cards under AP Health Card Scheme, they will have to mention the following details:-
- Breed
- If animals had any medical history or suffers from ailments
- If female are artificially impregnated
- If the owners wish to either buy new animals
- If owners wish to either sell their own animals
AP Health Cards will contain information like exact date when the animal should be vaccinated, what measures need to be taken at home in order to prevent infections and diseases. AP govt. will extend services for stray and livestock in orphanages under special provision only if the civic bodies or animal activists came forward to adopt them.
